What was once sci-fi is now ubiquitous research and development in company and university labs around the world.
Similarly, the startups working on many of these AI technologies have seen their proverbial stock rise. More than 30 of these companies are now valued at over a billion dollars. What exactly is all of this money funding?

The name alone evokes a certain mystery on a continent riddled with enigmas. Blood Falls, however, is slowly giving up its secrets. A team of scientists and engineers sent a probe into the cold ice of Taylor Glacier in Antarctica. In the first feat of its kind, they extracted super salty samples of water from the main vein that feeds the red-stained feature at the glacier’s snout.
